Description
Impossible Terrariums are paintings done of terrariums which (generally) cannot exist in reality. They can feature entire landscapes, water features, fire, weather phenomena and living creatures, and can be designed along personal preferences, to suit an OC, or as a tribute to a favorite piece of fiction. They are most commonly hanging orbs or teardrops, but vials, bottles, and even glass teapots or lanterns are viable alternatives (though additional complexity in container shape may cost extra). You can choose between a rectangular and a square canvas (square is mostly recommended for unadorned orbs, to take advantage of space), and higher resolution means higher detail. The final images are delivered as full-sized, transparent .png files.
The Quick Sketch option is done fully freehand with a textured stubby pencil brush. It features low detail and simple shading and, as such, is fast and inexpensive.
Here’s a link to all the Terrariums currently on my tumblr blog so that you can see them at full (or nearly full) size.
This leads to my Redbubble and this to my Etsy, where you can find other pieces of my art in print and original form, should it take your fancy.
Let me know if you have any questions!
